Differential serological and neutralizing antibody dynamics after an infection by a single SARS-CoV-2 strain

چکیده
We report here the case of two coworkers infected by same SARS-CoV-2 strain, presenting different immunological outcomes. One patient presented a strong IgG anti-receptor-binding domain immune response correlated with low and rapidly decreasing titer neutralizing antibodies. The other had similar but high antibody titers. Thus, host individual factors may be main drivers varying age clinical severity.

Assessment of protection against SARS-CoV-2 infection by measuring antibody titer, yes or no!
Dear Editor The current epidemic of the novel Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) risen from Wuhan, China, turned into a worldwide concern because of its incubation period (2-14 days) and its high transmission rate. The first cases of the infection were reported in December 2019 in Wuhan with symptoms like pneumonia for an unknown reason. Very soon it was known as a novel kind of Coronavirus o...
متن کاملSARS-CoV-2 infection: its psychiatric manifestations
Background: The clinical presentation of SARS-CoV-2 infection was initially dominated by respiratory symptoms. However the clinical spectrum is wide and neuropsychiatric syndromes are also a source of medical concern. Our aims are to present an atypical clinical presentation of SARS-CoV-2 infection characterized by auditory hallucinations and unusual behavior and to emphasize the diversity of ...

The novel coronavirus, severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) has introduced as causative agent for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) since the 2019 December. Human coronaviruses are classified in Nidovirales order and Coronavirdiae family. This family includes four genera. The SARS-CoV-2 is a member of Betacoronavirus genera and Sarbecovirus linage (linage B). There is ...
متن کاملSeroprevalence of anti-SARS-CoV-2 IgG antibody in healthcare workers: A report from Rafsanjan, Iran
Background: Healthcare workers (HCWs) have a high risk of SARS-CoV-2 infection. Seroprevalence studies can provide related data on HCWs who have a history of infections. According to numerous seroepidemiological reports of COVID-19 in different groups and the lack of seroepidemiological reports of COVID-19 in HCWs in Rafsanjan, the aim of this study was to determine the SARS-CoV-2 seroprevalenc...
متن کاملA human SARS-CoV neutralizing antibody against epitope on S2 protein.
An immune antibody phage-display library was constructed from B cells of SARS convalescent patients. More than 80 clones were selected from the library by using the whole inactivated SARS-CoV virions as target. One human scFv, B1, was characterized extensively. The B1 recognized SARS pseudovirus in vivo and competed with SARS sera for binding to SARS-CoV with high affinity (equilibrium dissocia...
